Privacy Policy
This policy covers the zoopkit website and every tool on it, including tools added later. It describes the information those tools handle and what zoopkit does with it. A new tool uses this policy unless this page says otherwise.
1. Who this covers
"zoopkit" means the operator of this website and its tools. The same rules apply whether you use one tool or several.
2. Privacy and security
zoopkit does not store your data. A file is used only to run the tool you chose. The upload and the generated file are deleted within 1 hour.
3. What you provide
When you use a tool, zoopkit receives the file and other input you submit, a file name, and the settings you choose, only so it can produce the result.
4. What the service records
Running a request can include the time, the tool, and the size of an upload, for as long as the job is in progress. When the job ends, zoopkit keeps a usage record: which tool ran, the upload size, the size you chose, the result size, whether it worked, how long it took, and whether you were signed in. The editor also records when a file is opened, saved, or fails to save. The record has no file name, no file content, no IP address, and nothing that says who you are. The host that serves the site may also record ordinary connection data, such as an IP address and a browser type, to deliver and protect the service. That record is not a copy of your file.
5. Cookies
The site may set a cookie for a preference, such as language, and the compression check may set a cookie to tell a person from an automated request. You can block cookies in the browser. Blocking the check's cookie can stop a compression.
When a measurement ID is configured, the site loads Google Analytics from www.googletagmanager.com so zoopkit can see which pages are opened. A page view sends the path, the full address, and the page title. Using a tool also sends which tool ran, the file size in bytes, the size you chose, and whether it worked. The file name and the file itself are never sent. Google may set its own cookies and receive the browser's IP address. Google's description of that processing is at https://policies.google.com/privacy. With no measurement ID, the script is not loaded.
6. How information is used
zoopkit uses this information to:
- run the tool you chose and return the result
- provide the download until the file is deleted
- enforce limits, prevent abuse, and fix failures
- count how often each tool is used and how well it works
- answer a request you send
7. Files
File contents are used to run the tool and to provide the result. zoopkit does not sell personal information, and does not use file contents to advertise to you.
8. Who else handles it
Companies that host the site and run the tools handle a file only while the tool is running. When Google Analytics is loaded, Google also receives the page path, the full address, the page title, and the tool events described above. zoopkit may also share information when the law requires it, or if the service is transferred. If the service is transferred, this policy stays with it, or the next operator tells you about a new one.
9. Your choices
You can stop using the service. You do not need to ask for a file to be deleted. Uploads and generated files are deleted within 1 hour. You can control cookies in your browser.
10. Children
zoopkit is not directed at children under 13. Do not upload a child's personal information.
11. Where it is handled
The service may be hosted outside your country. A file may be processed where zoopkit and its hosting providers operate, and it is still deleted on the schedule above.
12. Changes
zoopkit may update this policy. The date at the top of this page changes when the text changes. The new policy applies from that date.
13. Contact
Questions about these pages go to the operator of zoopkit at this address.
